Meadowridge Bowling Club

About MBC

Experience the Fun & Community of MBC

Welcome to our dynamic lawn bowling club in Meadowridge, situated off Howard Drive in the heart of the Meadowridge Sports Precinct, boasting wonderful mountain views and gorgeous sunsets. Established in 1986, MBC has a proud track record of being a vital cog in the sporting and social fabric of the Meadowridge/Bergvliet community.

Boasting two pristine bowling greens as well as a large clubhouse and outdoor entertainment area, Meadowridge Bowling Club has much to offer. Whether you’re an experienced bowler wishing to play competitively or a potential newcomer to the sport, you will find MBC’s welcoming and engaging approach to your liking. We also have a highly active non-bowling member group who play Canasta and Bridge, or simply enjoy the regular club activities on offer.

Meadowridge Bowling Club is affiliated to Western Province Bowls (WPB) and enters teams in the various leagues and competitions in the province. We also have well-supported internal bowling competitions across all formats for both single and mixed gender. For new bowlers, we provide training free of charge to get you up to speed with the techniques and etiquette of lawn bowls as a sport. Club bowling days at MBC are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (all at 2pm) and Sundays (9am). The greens are available at designated times outside of those for practice. The Canasta group meets at 2pm on Wednesdays and the Bridge Group at 9am on Thursdays.

The club house has facilities to host your special events, both indoors and outdoors, including a bar, a braai area, entertainment facilities and change rooms.
